Stolen Trek Costumes – Partially Returned

We were saddened today to learn that James, a pub landlord and life long Star Trek fan had three handmade Star Trek costumes stolen from his pub, the Coach House Keal Cotes, Lincolnshire.

However, tonight whilst on the phone discussing the incident with James and his wife April, the costumes were returned albeit without the unique badges. The ‘Passport badge’ or ‘UFP medal’ (we have seen it referred to as both) can be seen in The Voyage Home on the federation council members. We hadn’t even noticed them (the blasphemy!) so we believe they are very rare.

We were relieved to learn the costumes were returned but please could we appeal to the humanity and goodness within that person again, to return the badges too.
It took courage to return the costumes which had sentimental value to the owner, we are sure you can find that courage again to return the medals that mean so much to James.
These costumes were handmade by James mum in the 1990’s and he met his wife April wearing the lighter colour one, whilst attending a convention in Brisbane. He wore the darker Maroon the following year whilst he hung out with James Doohan.
James mum had made a third Spock costume and this was also returned tonight.
If anyone has any information regarding the badges, they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Please keep an eye out on any prop websites/forums, we’d love to see James reunited with his badges.
