Deanna and Will – Short Character Story

If you watched our livestream last night, you would have noticed a new feature called "Take Me Out To The Holosuite". Submit any character from the Star Trek Universe and we'll write a short story about them.

Let us know if you like this new feature! Here's our first one where we share what we think Will Riker and Deanna Troi are doing now.....

"CINQUIÈME MAISON"

A pack of small dogs are sprinting in an immaculate garden. The four dogs are no bigger than Earth chihuahuas, beautifully groomed and their collars adorned with wadi gemstones.

The dogs dart between rock gardens, leap over small streams and brush past the Muktok plants. As they reach their intended destination at the magnificent palatial house, the imposing doors opened to let the small … Continue Reading ››

Next Away Mission – London film and comic con

We'll be at London Film and Comic Con (LFCC) which runs 26 - 28th July - Olympia - London.

We say it every year but only because it's true. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST LFCC EVER!

There is a HUGE lineup at LFCC with some bigger names such as Martin AND Charlie Sheen, Robert Carlyle, Jason Momoa, Carrie-Anne Moss and Brendan Fraser. Those are all great reasons to go to LFCC, but we are the Trekkie Girls... we go for the Star Trek!

This year Star Trek fans are being spoiled! We have a very impressive Trek present, especially considering we're only three months away from Destination Star Trek which boasts an exclusive Star Trek lineup.

Billed to attend from Star Trek are:

The Run-up

In December last year we learned that Marina Sirtis aka Deanna Troi would be making her West End debut at Trafalgar Studios. The show wouldn't be running for long (it's final performance is the 3rd August).

There was a huge amount of hype in the run up from the incredibly passionate and enthusiastic team made up of Andrew Keates (Director), Jamie Chapman Dixon and Piers Cottee-Jones (Producers) who went up and down the country, across convention halls to promote this play.

So we were pretty fast to book the moment the tickets had gone on sale. Had we waited just a few days we would have have purchased through the crowdfunding site but alas we had already committed a weekend and made an away mission out of it.

Sci-Fi Ball 25 – Review

We are back from another incredible weekend at the Sci-Fi Ball Southampton. The guests included Robert Duncan McNeill (Tom Paris, ST Voyager), Sean Pertwee, Andrew Lee Potts, Gigi Edgley, Dino Fetscher, Lucy Carless and Terry Malloy .

Now, being exclusively Star Trek bloggers, we wouldn't normally attend an event with so few Trek actors but we made an exception for the Sci-Fi Ball for several reasons. Most importantly because we want to support this particular event. It's primary mission is to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and over the weekend we heard from young people who had received invaluable support from this charity.

Secondly, we love all the people who work tirelessly to organise this event and everyone who attends. But also because we just have such good fun! We love conventions which are jam packed … Continue Reading ››
