Oh George! We had to Double Take this Takei image today (M-kay?), but not for the reasons you'd think.
This is where we live! We clapped with gay glee when we saw our city's proud historic dockyard being shared by the good Captain Sulu. As you can see we're a liberal bunch here in Portsmouth so feel free to pay us a visit anytime Mr Takei.
In fact, we have a Christmas market at the dock in December where we all dress up like we're celebrating Worf's promotion

TNG Tastic!
We thought from the first guest announcements that there was a slight leaning towards Deep Space Nine guest for February's Destination Star Trek Germany but like Spock trying to fool a supercomputer, they have us again! The next wave of guests seems to be rather Next Gen. Although Michael Dorn lends himself to more than one franchise.
Personally, we LOVE Marina, Dorn and Frakes on the stage together. They are a bundle of laughs and it's been a while since we have seen the love-triangle trio get their Imzadi on!
We really hope they get to take to the stage together, we won't want to miss that.
So far the guest line is pretty huge:
William Shatner
Jonathan Frakes

Guess Who Is Going to Germany?
Yesterday we were put out of our misery as the next Star Trek Destination was finally revealed. Carole and Sam met up to discuss their thoughts and hopes for Destination Star Trek Germany and as usual, looking for clues.....

At a glance:
Location: Frankfurt Messe, much bigger than London ExCel. Two airports serving.
Ticket Prices: Comparable to DSTL at today's exchange rate.
The difference is with the premium ticketing options with Silver, Gold, Platinum and VIP fairing slightly cheaper than DSTL. Whilst offering roughly the same. The only significant difference is at DSTL a Captains Talk was included. So we presume the price difference is due to this.
From comparing, we'd either go Silver or Latinum (and that ain't no typo!). Also note that priority queuing is available only for Latinum and VIP. This is bad news if you normally would go Gold, but good news if you go … Continue Reading ››
Anovos – affordable costumes
Anovos, the premium Star Trek and Battlestar costuming gurus, have just sent out this email announcing their new Standard line of costumes. Designed to be comfortable and accurate, most importantly they have used the word 'affordable'. This is great news for those of us who want the look but not the credit card debt!
As we have gone all routes, from having costumes made, buying from the cosplay eBay stores and the superb premium line at Anovos, we are really hoping this is the happy medium us fans have been waiting for.
New Destination Star Trek to be revealed!
It's the moment we have been waiting for since we shuffled out of London Excel with a Romulan Ale hangover and someones vulcan ear stuck to our left boob. It's coming back!!!! Check out: www.destinationstartrek.com
As we recall from last year, the convention gods love torturing us by slowly drip feeding us information and it looks like the same is happening again with the next reveal in 5 days.
So keep an eye on your inbox, check their website and make sure you're following @StarTrek_DST on twitter. And us of course! Because we will be doing our usual detective work to uncover What The Spock is happening.
Star Trek London was such a blast but you … Continue Reading ››
A Subreddit full of Wheatons
Ever wondered what Wesley Crusher got up too after he ran off with the Traveller? Maybe he used his powers to manipulate space and time to become various crew members from each series?
Sure beats staying in his room with that voice recorder he made once.
Check out some of these incredible photoshopped imaginings coming out of the Treknobabble Subreddit. Made by deadfraggle who made the TOS/TNG cross over pics that spread over the web like a secret whispered at Quarks.
This is our favourite, downloaded it to to full resolution for our own stash.
P.S. Sam's Wil Wheaton stash, whilst remarkable, still pales in comparison to … Continue Reading ››
Mirror Universe TNG top?
Just stumbled across this top by River Island and thought this would be great for an improvised TNG mirror universe cosplay. Best bit is its only £20!
Could also be a Starfleet/Klingon crossover with that boobie cutout.
Star Trek Into Darkness – Social Premiere
It seems like just yesterday we were at the cinema watching ST:ID and now it's here, on DVD! We can't wait to watch it and will be joining in on the Twitter Social Premiere Monday 2nd September, 20:00 BST
Make sure you follow us on Twitter and look out for the #IntoDarkness to link in with the collective minds also watching.
Not only is this a great way to connect with fellow fans and discuss the film live, we reckon its great for first day DVD release sales figures too! Someone at Paramount is getting a promotion to regional sub-nagus. Eitherway, we're excited to watch it again! See you on monday \\//
London Film and Comic Con 2013
Writing a post is like entering the shuttlebay doors after a long away mission. Real life pulled us away for a while and we're a bit behind but got plenty to talk about.
Thanks to all of you who followed our tweets at LFCC, it was a fantastic event with a plentiful and enjoyable Star Trek guest lineup.
Our highlight was the DS9 Talk which was one of the better Trek talks we have seen. Not only were the answers from the actors superb (naming specific episodes by actual title) but the questions from the audience were particularly astute and original. Well done Trekkies!
Our favourite question from the audience was to Rene Auberjonois asking "what was the liquid used for Odo's regeneration?" - never heard that one before!
Just as the audience thought Rene would never be able to answer that, he … Continue Reading ›› Away Mission – London Film and Comic Con
After a brief period of having to deal with real life 21st century issues we are grateful for a distraction this weekend and will going on an away mission to London Film and Comic Con!
It's the best bit about British Summer Time if you ask us!
At this years #LFCC (as it's affectionately known) the organisers Showmasters have pulled off a very generous Star Trek line up that resembles a mini DS9 reunion:
Avery Brooks - Captain Benjamin Sisko
Alexander Siddig - Julian Bashir
Armin Shimmerman - Quark
Nana Visitor - Kira Nerys
Rene Auberjonois - Odo
Aron Eisenberg - Nog
Max Grodenchik - Rom
Andrew Robinson - Garak
David Warner - Chancellor Gorkon / Gul Madred
Barry Jenner - Admiral Ross
Salome Jens - Female Shape Shifter
Bruce Gray - Admiral Chekote / Surak
Kitty Swink - Minister … Continue Reading ››
