Ok we are getting a little obsessed with the Star Trek London mystery. In episode 14 of our vBlog we explain why we think the event is based around the new movie. There is a visual clue on the registration website and the avatar on the Twitter Account. That is the new look insignia, native to the JJ movie. However, take a look at the back ground on @StarTrek_London 's twitter homepage:
It's our good friend the Enterprise -D
Now are we reading too much into this? Does it mean something?
The Next Generation is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in September 2012 - coincidence? hmmm, … Continue Reading ››
Organised by the same group who bring us Collectormania (see June post). This is an all encompassing geek-fest which not only includes the autographs, photo shoots, talks and stalls which we love but it also has Anime, Cosplaying, Card trading and video-gaming zones. We find that fans are much more likely to dress up for this event. It is held the weekend before the International Comic Con in San Diego and the atmosphere and reputation of that event has influenced these London Comic Cons. British geeks all genres are getting braver and bolder. … Continue Reading ››
We have been to a few of these and they are generally well run, simple affairs. They are predominately a trading arena with lots and lots of stalls. With signing areas, photo ops and guest talks. From the ones we have been to before, the guest stars are sat in the main hall so we can stare at them and point (honestly, its like a pet shop!). But some guest stars are too precious to be left out like nerd bait for us to chew on so they store them away in secure areas.
Normally we are jealous of all the Trek events that happen in the United States but at last it seems the UK is seeing some action. Fans in our little piece of the Alpha Quadrant have filled a big void. So we thought we'd have a look at whats to come. First up, May.....
We haven't heard of this company before (that doesn't mean anything, we couldn't name any 10 of the top 100 FTSE companies)But it looks very pro. The way they have displayed team information on their site seems to indicate that they are conscience of their brand and reputation. Which we like. … Continue Reading ››

We have a launch date!Star Trek London are being as secretive as Section 31 with their plans but like all good agents they have disseminated a small piece of information to keep us guessing. But that's not going to keep us from looking for more clues! Today @StarTrek_London revealed the 'dates' of this mystery event....The popular opinion amongst fans is that its The Experience which is currently touring the United States. We have noticed that none of our great suggestions are circulating! (See previous post Is London Ready? and What is Star Trek London? )We would have thought if it were he Experience they would host it for longer. This has to be a convention right? Oh please let this be a convention!Three days sounds about right? … Continue Reading ››
By CaroleMe and Sam have always loved to have something to get excited about. Be it the invention of a new cocktail (More Tranya?), a fabulous new uniform or the growing success of our TiTs (Trekkies In Training). But at the moment the mystery of Star Trek London has us laying awake at night. See our first post announcing and speculating about Star Trek LondonNumerous rumours and educated guesses are flying around but my hope is for something that'll get us truly excited.....The opening of the first Starfleet academy!!! Instead of overlooking the bay of San Francisco, it can overlook the London skyline. I know it's crazy but its my hope all the same.Continue Reading ››

As we have mentioned in our previous videos, we attended the 4.5th annual Starfleet/Klingon Banquet in Northampton. This spectacular event was put on by the crew of Starbase 24 and a big thanks has to go to Kehlan for the amount of hard work she puts into these events. Since starting the banquets in 2005 over £8500 has been raised for Macmillan Cancer support....damn Trekkies are awesome! The night was made even more special by two surprise marriage proposals and a few birthdays!
This was the first banquet to be held at the Northampton Park Inn, previous ones were held at the Milton Keynes Holiday Inn but we were very pleased with the new location. Although there was … Continue Reading ››
