Star Trek: The Animated Series [Blu-ray] premiered in 1973 as a Saturday morning cartoon – four years after The Original Series’ final season.  The series’ 22 episodes featured characters voiced by their original actors and was the first Star Trek series to win an Emmy Award.

We had shied away from this series which was a mistake as it’s a rich and integral part of Star Trek. Perfect for watching with the family, the cartoon aspect is appealing to children whilst the familiarity and depth of the story telling attracts us fans.
