Destinations Star Trek Birmingham - Star Trek Convention 2018 UK

Destination Star Trek Birmingham – Our next away Mission

The details of the parties have been released and we are 5 weeks away from our next away mission DESTINATION STAR TREK BIRMINGHAM!! Taking place 19th – 21st October at the NEC Birmingham.

The most important details … the parties have just been released and  the provisional schedule has been made available. Remember, these timetables can and very often do change. You’ll need to keep an eye out throughout the weekend. But it helps us to start planning.

Guests

You won’t find this many Star Trek guests anywhere in Europe. The top names so far include:

  • Gates McFadden (Dr Crusher)
  • Nichelle Nichols (Uhura)
  • Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine)
  • Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway)
  • William Shatner (Captain Kirk)
  • Jason Isaacs (Lorca)
  • Mary Chieffo (L’Rell)
  • Michael Dorn (Worf)
  • Kenneth Mitchell (Kol)
  • Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi)
  • Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax)
  • Walter Koenig (Chekov)

But seriously, there’s loads more…. check out Destination Star Trek’s Guest page for the complete list.

Parties

One of our favourite features about DST is the parties. Held on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Hilton Metropole.

The good news is tickets can be bought separately at just £20 each. Although they are included in the Commander package and above.

The themes look a lot of fun. Friday night is ‘Being William Shatner’ … so being awesome!

And Saturday night is Mirror Universe night. Sexy!!

What We Left Behind DS9 Documentary World Premiere

Made by Ira Steven Behr, David Zaponne and Adam Nimoy and funded by fans, attendees at DST have the opportunity to see this Documentary which deep dives into the story and people behind Deep Space Nine. We are particularly looking forward to hearing what they had in mind for Season 8 if there had been one.

And the Trekkie Girls?…

Destination Star Trek holds a special place in our hearts and we are so ridiculously excited about the weekend. This is a must-do for Star Trek fans. We will be reporting from the event as usual and you can see us on the fan stage too. More details on that soon.

Make sure you check out our reports on previous DST’s.
